Start with whatever base coat is recommended for the color suede you want. They are all different. The base coat is very important. Suede is very hard to do(and look nice) I never see any that I really like. Horribly inconsistent. I know there'll be some people saying ';it's easy and mine looks great!'; But it's not and it won't. I've seen top decorators, artist and painters do this. I am one and have done several, It's my least favorite of the fauxs. I sound so negative, sorry.
