Can I use Acryillic Paint on my interior walls for painting a faux chair rail? Or to do stripes?

I need to know about acryillic paint, and if I can use it to paint a faux chair railing. Also I'm considering doing stripes above, and a dark color below, PLEASE let me know!! I live in an apartment so installing a chair rail is not practical! THANKS!Can I use Acryillic Paint on my interior walls for painting a faux chair rail? Or to do stripes?
I have used acrylics on the wall several times. I love them. Very easy clean up if you make a mistake and the paint doesn't tend to bleed. Just be sure to start off with very little on your brush and slowly build up the color. Good luck! Can I use Acryillic Paint on my interior walls for painting a faux chair rail? Or to do stripes?
Acrylic paint is no problem, it's commonly used for stencilling. It's not that tough, so should be avoided in areas liable to wear.

But why paint a chair rail? That sounds like hard work compared to using a faux wallpaper one. That would make the high and low colours easier too, as any slight irregularity in the join would disappear when you applied the border.

I found this one in brown quite quickly on-line, but someone should do one in white too, at the least.:
There are no rules in art. Paint it with deer blood if you want.
